1.     Remove Water Stains with Vinegar

Vinegar is available in every household. It is the best and most affordable solution for removing water stains from glass crockery and looking mirrors.

To remove the water stains, make a mixture that contains 50 percent vinegar and 50 percent water. Then apply it to the water stains on the glass, and let it sit for 15 minutes. You may make the mixture in a glass spray bottle and spray it directly onto the glass surface. Afterward, take a simple washcloth and wipe the dirt and grime away. Wash the glass, and let it dry for a beautiful finish.

2.   Use Dryer Sheets to Clean Pots and Pans

It is not at all easy to clean frying pans and baking trays. Dryer sheets are a surprising and affordable solution to clean these hard to clean pans. According to home cleaning experts, you should plug your sink, collect warm water with soap in it, and soak the dirty tray or frying pan in the sink along with a dryer sheet. Leave the dirty pans and dishes in the water for one or two hours and then use a simple dish sponge to wipe it off. The grease is going to slide off easily, and you can rinse the pots afterward.

3.   Clean the Bathtub with Grapefruit and Salt

You will be amazed to know that grapefruit is not only good for losing weight; you can also use it for cleaning your bathtub. This easy cleaning tip would make your life easier.

Cleaning experts swear by citrus juice and say that grapefruit is a miracle worker when it comes to cleaning. It can also be used to clean the showerhead and sink as well.

How to do it?

Cut the fruit into two, and sprinkle salt on it. This combination of citric acid and salt does wonders to get the dirt and grime off the ceramic surfaces. Next time you visit a grocery store, do not forget to put a grapefruit in your fruit basket.

4.   Use Vinegar to Clean the Showerhead

The cleanliness of the showerhead is important as it not only blocks the flow of water but also contains bacteria.  A study conducted by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America in 2009 concluded that 20- 24 percent of showerheads tested were polluted with Mycobacterium avium,  a bacterium that causes respiratory health issues.

With vinegar, it is not difficult to clean the showerhead anymore. Take a sealed plastic bag, fill it with white vinegar, and attach it to the showerhead with a rubber band. Leave it overnight or at least for 12 hours, remove the bag, and scrub the showerhead with an old toothbrush or scrub. With light scrubbing, you will be able to open the clogged showerhead pores, and it will become as good as new!

5.    Clean the Windows with Newspaper

Have you ever used newspapers to clean windows? If not, then you are missing out because newspapers are more effective for cleaning mirrors and glass surfaces than paper towels. Paper towels are bad for the environment as well; you can recycle old newspapers and clean your glassware at the same time. Cleaning experts say that using newspapers to clean the glass or windows is not only cheap but also won't leave streaks and marks on the surface. Just spray the regular cleaner you use onto the glass, spread the newspaper on it, and you are ready to rub and clean the window.

6.   Clean the Blinds with Vacuum

Cleaning the window blinds is a challenging process. Even if you are using a feather duster, it takes a lot of time. Alternatively, we advise using the upholstery attachment on the vacuum to get rid of dust. If you don't have a vacuum cleaner, you may also use dryer sheets to clean the blinds effectively.

7.    Clean the Couch and Mattress with Baking Soda

Baking soda is a good option to clean the sofa. It can help you remove any bad smells and cut down the stains on the sofa covering. First of all, clean the sofa with a vacuum cleaner, then add a dab of baking soda on the spot that you want to clean. Now let the baking soda sit on the sofa for about 20-30 minutes. Afterward, use the brush attachment to your vacuum and clean the sofa.

If you want to get rid of bad odors from your mattress, sprinkle baking soda on it and leave it for 60 – 90 minutes. The baking soda will absorb the bad smells, and you can dust off the baking soda or vacuum it for a fresh and clean mattress.

8.   Cleanliness of Stainless-Steel Sink

Another easy cleanliness tip is related to stainless steel kitchen sinks. To clean a sink, plug in the stopper. Put 2-3 denture-cleaning tablets, and fill the sink with water till the halfway mark; leave for a few hours; we recommend leaving it overnight. The next day, drain the water and give the sink a light scrub; it will sparkle as new in no time.

9.   Remove Carpet Stains with Vinegar and A Steam Iron

A carpet adds to the beauty of your dwelling, but they pose quite a challenge when it comes to cleaning. The cleaners at Carpet Cleaning Guildford say that carpet stains can be removed at home as well with a simple trick. Then wipe clean with a microfiber cloth, Voila! The stain will be gone.

10.          Stop the Ants and Insects from Entering Your House

To stop ants and other insects from entering your house, draw a line from chalk on the ground from where these creepy crawlies enter your home.  The chalk stops the insects from coming inside. If you dwell in a rainy area where seasonal insects are a problem, you must repeat the process and redraw the chalk lines each time after the rain.
